Trevor Hart

As I was researching photographers for our most recent assignment I came across some photos by Trevor Hart, who I had never heard of before. I thought I would share a few with you for inspiration for this assignment. Enjoy :)

Joel Sternfeld

Some of you may already be familiar with these because we watched a video in Laurie's class about Joel Sternfeld. I thought it would be appropriate to look at him in this class for the landscape project. He took photographs on top of an old elevated train rail in Manhattan. The photographs are surreal. I would recommend looking at all of his work.

Waste Land

I recently came upon this documentary, called Waste Land, about this artist, Vik Muniz (I don't know if anyone has heard of him or this documentary), and I thought that it looks interesting and somewhat relevant to our current project...

Rob Sheridan

I am a big fan of Rob Sheridan for multiple reasons, his photography being one of those reasons. Seeing some of the photos in class today, I was reminded of some of his work, which you guys can check out HERE. There are quite a few more traditional landscapes, as well as altered and cityscapes. So yeah, just another source some of you might want to look at. (His main website with more commercial photos can be accessed by clicking "Portfolio" at the top, then "Photography" on the left.)

Table For One.

Photographer, Artist, and Skateboarder, Jerry Hsu has a blog called Table for one. He basically takes a picture every time he sees someone dining alone. Have a look!
